A premium blend of Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiri teas.We challenge you to find a more storied tea than Taj Mahal. The blend is comprised of luxury teas from India’s finest growing districts, Assam, Darjeeling, and the Nilgiris, each with their own diverse histories.
Assam was the first place tea was grown by the British. Darjeeling survived a massive earthquake in 1898 and has since become one of the tea-growing capitals of the world- the tea is grown on hybrid bushes developed on very steep slopes. The Nilgiri Hills are home to the world’s most expensive tea. In 2006, tea from the Nilgiri Hills sold for $600 per kilogram at a Las Vegas auction after stories of it being discovered during a pursuit of criminals spread throughout the news.
It’s no wonder that the coming together of all three of these blends are deserving of a name like Taj Mahal. This flawless blend unites teas from all three regions, sourced during their respective seasonal peaks – a 2nd flush Assam, 1st Flush Darjeeling, and January growth Nilgiri. The resulting cup offers malt, muscatel, and fragrant floral notes that open beautifully with a splash of milk. A stunning tea waiting to meet your lips.A premium blend of Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiri teas.
